Hello!

My name is Mark and I’m 26. The most important thing to know about is that I support two football teams. Yep, you heard right.

Leeds United.

And Halifax Town.

So far it’s not been a problem in my life (and given the current league standings I’ve no major concerns over that in the foreseeable future) and it’s been something I’ve lived with since I was about 7.

As  a kid in a Banbury playground I had some inner burning desire to feel closer to my homeland up north and it was much to my disappointment when whoever made the football cards before Panini brought in stickers dropped the lower leagues one by one, until my annual collections of Leeds and Halifax cards became one Town player and a host of Gordon Strachan swaps.

Anyway, that’s probably not telling you much about this blog! Why do I do this?

I’m a Yorkshireman raised in Oxfordshire and my passions are football, beer, photography and digital marketing.

I write about beer on my beer reviews blog, Real Ale Reviews, and I write about marketing, advertising, digital and web stuff here. I write because I see things that I want to say and want to know other peoples opinions on and I hope that by doing so I can find out new things and get better at what I do.

I tend to pick up on things I’ve seen, online ads, tv spots or billboards as I drive home. Those that inspire or incense me often end up in a little notebook or somewhere in the darkest innards of my brain, and will one day hopefully make it onto these pages!
