Holbeck: wasteland flowers
Around the back of the Round Foundry Media Centre in Holbeck there are lots of spots of wasteland and in recent months a whole host of wild flowers have been cropping up .As one lot dies off more colourful varieties seem to pop up, attracting lots of bees and a few butterflies. There's some dodgy alleyways, seemingly abandoned pieces of land, old mills turned into car parks and the obsolete rail arches, all looked over by the presence of empty flats and the office towers of Granary Wharf and Bridgewater Place.
